Finally Yours: a billionaire second chance romance

Finally Yours is the first book in the Finally series by Elena Aitken. Abby’s life has been turned upside down. She lost the life she had known when her now ex-husband was caught embezzling millions from clients’ investments accounts. Now she is forced to work at the very country club where she was once a member. One day, Phillip Conrad, a man from her past, walks into the club’s shop and proposes a way for her to pay off her debt to him. She knows she should tell him to shove it and walk away. However, his proposal is too good to say no to and the spark between them still burns even fifteen years later. Will their weekend together give them a second chance at love? Or will it leave her in the ashes? 

Finally Yours is a second chance romance with a billionaire trope. I love a second chance romance as it is never too late for a happily ever after. I am usually iffy with the billionaire trope. However, I took a chance on Finally Yours. I was disappointed from the start. I did not like Abby. I did not like Phillip. I couldn’t believe these people were supposed to be in their 40s. I did not like any of the secondary characters. I did not like the story overall and I will not be continuing the series. I do not recommend Finally Yours.
